This Is Me Poem by Christian Hayes

I am me
With my ratty hair
And my overpowered soul
Long, skinny, white
Is that all you see
Well you in fact are very wrong
On so many different angles
I am but a man of many nightmares
That shadows my face
And yet when I look into the stars
They do not stare back
With the light on full run
But they ignore the fact
That I am a living being
In this world of hell
And no one can see that I am here to tell
That if nothing is done to our restless mind
Then we shall never rest in peace
In the test of time
