This Is What I Am Not Poem by Gabrielle Cummings

This Is What I Am Not

I am not the scars on my wrist, made by the blade in my pocket,
or black clothing that i put on my back.
I am not a person to run from, no need to be scared.
I am not a hateful person, I'm not sad.
How I look is not me,
I am kind and caring, I help those in need.
I am Strong and hopeful, not one to be pushed down.
I am someone that likes to laugh, and have fun.
So please do look at me and run.
Stay.
