    Thank you for sharing, great poem revealing a painful trruth:
    adopting behaviors they provoked
    adopting their 'dreams' as mine
    accepting blind fears as facts of the future
    educated for failure
    forced to betray and abandon myself
    this is what life is and has been, I think, at least for most of us (Report) Reply

    Didn't you mean 'pawn' instead of 'pon'? I especially like these lines (and identify with them) :

    educated for failure
    forced to betray and abandon myself

    Aren't we all?

    But, to life, there's more:
    what we've been waiting for.
    What we anticipate
    we must co-create.
    This is what life is,
    and will be
    for all of us,
    for you and for me. (Report) Reply

    This is what I call poetry. The two other poems of the day, I read, have not evoked much in me but this, this captures the fruits of my subconscious. It's beautiful, honest and perfectly placed. The subject matter is one we all consider but not normally with this much clarity. (Report) Reply

In earth or heaven;
Finding thy way through prison-bars
Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
