This Mere Child Poem by Morphing Professor

This Mere Child

Rating: 5.0

This mere child
So innocuous and blithe
So oblivious to the brutalities
Which the dark world bestowed
Upon its inhabitants
Would soon grow up
And take in the pollution
His mind shall stray from its
Whiteness and pureness
What he will do
It is unknown
But take knowledge that
This mere child
Will not remain
A child
For long

Nice choice of words - it gets more and more difficult to innoculate our children from the world's brutalities and pollution. Well done! ! Brian
