& This Time It's Different Poem by Rosa Lin

& This Time It's Different

Rating: 2.9

This time it wont be about you.

Staring out into the grey skies as the rain comes pouring down
I have nothing else, no one else to believe in, not even myself.
The music both surrounds and engulfs me as I lay here listening
For there's nothing else in the world right now I'd rather be doing
Letting the music flow through me, taking me away
Catching my breath in every single imaginable way.
I write and rewrite, type and delete
Because there is nothing I could ever think of
that could describe how I feel today.
I suppose that God knows how I feel because he has made the weather reflect.
The roaring thunder and piercing lightning runs through the sky.
My heart beats faster, irregular beats, each one harder.
And sometimes I feel invisible and nothing I do is ever good enough
Then it catches me off guard, just like the rain
The tears that build up, the ones I try to hide
Like rain falling to the ground, they fall
I close my eyes and let my fingers linger on the keys
Because I have nothing left to say
Absolutely nothing left to say.
