** This Very Minute **

If this very minute finds me dead
while I'm kissing your lips,
I'd be glad that I died enjoying the
bliss of newly-weds.
If this very minute finds me
speechless
while I'm staring at that blinding sun you mistake for a face,
I'd be glad that I'm completely
wordless
but not so blind to God's glowing
grace.
If this very minute finds me awake
while you're smiling in your sleep,
I'd be glad that I saw all that charm.
I'd give anything to see you this
peaceful again.
If this very minute elapses into an
hour
while I stare into those milky way
you mistake for eyes
I'd be glad that I surrendered all my
power
just for this very moment in your
paradise.
