This Wayward Heart. Poem by Michael Gale

This Wayward Heart.

The wayward heart, flung to thy winds...
Torn apart from deep within.
That heart so barren and emptied fro' thee...
Wretche'd of life so carelessly.
This heart was one, so tied to thee...
Forever more - Torn ten-dearly.
How can life proceed ahead? ...
From now until-
This solemn dread.
