Thorns Poem by Austin Moore

Thorns

A silent implosion
Dissolving emotion
I’m tired and broken
Too many words spoken
Inscriptions of your greed
Have been carved on the seed
You’ve planted in my mind
Left for me to find

Discovering hatred
Regretting what I did
Forget all that I’ve said
You’re in over your head
Empty envelope
Filled with a false hope
Growing in my mind
The scar you left behind
