Thorns And Roses Poem by Anastasia Rai

Thorns And Roses

Pedals like velvet soft at the touch.

Red roses red roses I love you so much.

A scream and red pores from my hand

Tears fall as blood seeps into the sand.

I look up at the sky then pull hard on a bush.

And pedals fall to the floor.

I just sit there and stare at the bunches of roses.

My clothes are torn.

My arm bleeding uncontrollably

And my sight slowly fading.

In my hand I still hold one single red rose.
