Those Left Alone

Rating: 4.0

what truly defines sanctuary? or Serenity? is it really what your mind has bent it self to perceive due to what you have been taught and what you have learned of the nature of these feelings? is it really the comfort of others in unity when you need to be sheltered, when your own defenses are shattered? but what about those without the embrace of others what is their sanctuary then? many walk in the path of self declared happiness. Blind and unable to notice the world around them with the facade that it is because of their loved ones and because of their personal friendships that they survive the days. But try and put yourself in a new reality one where you and yourself alone must provide the strength, will and power to achieve complete happiness. How would you go about completing that task when you have spent your whole life relying on everyone else but yourself. There are many who do this but they are the ones you don't normally notice in fact they are the ones your normally push away because they have not met your shallow standards. In this reality you walk in their shoes, you face complete loneliness they are the ones who face this feeling every day and have become stronger because of it. Because they have lived a life without companionship and have endured the challenge of self reliance while you taunt them for their insecurities and leave them stricken with your harsh judgement. I do not feel sympathy for them, it is you i feel sympathy for, while you attempt to break all they are you are only breaking yourself. With every scar you leave on them you have only helped yourself rot quicker. cuts, bruises and sadness those will heal but a damaged soul is permanent. If the ridicule and pain of those less fortunate helps aid your self righteous glory then you are to blame for the emptiness your future entails. So once you see the other side of reality and experience the damnation that you helped create on others tell me this have you really achieved Sanctuary, Serenity or Happiness? .
