Those Rumors Poem by Christina Brunton

Those Rumors

Rating: 2.7

Whisper quietly as you go by
Sending off those hurtful lies
Breaking bonds and breaking ties

Just to get a little higher
Wrap yourself around them tighter
Crack them open and tear them apart
Make them go back to start
Stab them through the back and into the heart
Throw them aside
Take away their pride
Make sure they died
A little inside

You can tell that they cried
But they take it in strides
Climbing up from the dark
And into the light
They won't go down without a fight.
