Those Same Tall Trees Poem by Shalom Freedman

Those Same Tall Trees

Whose green is Beauty each morning
Today swaying violently in the wind
Could be Death-

We see with who we are
But what we are is beyond us also-

A speck can kill us
But our life is a long slow redemption
Toward what our eyes may mean
