Those Tears Poem by Emmanuel Mashau

Those Tears

Rating: 5.0

Those tears

Tears of when I was in love
We were just kids in love
She had given me a reason to can move
We were enjoying sharing unconditional love.

Times were moving and we were still together
Everyone could see our love was genuine as leather
For her I could throw punches like May Weather
Those are flesh and soul, said Martin Luther.

Tears in her eyes made me feel alive, again
they were tears of joy not of pain
My loneliness got buried down the drain
And for that,
I would never cry again.

In rainy days,
I become her umbrella
In beauty competitions,
she becomes my Cinderella
In sunny days,
I become her shadow
In heavy winds,
I help her stand still.

She was born for me,
I was born for her
She is living for me,
I am living for her
I will be with her even on her death
And I will help her leave our motherly earth.

For I was the reason she was born
though I will be left alone,
Her spirit will live within me
For I love her.

Mighty spiritual experience and voyage of pure bliss that is love, is well depicted in the poem. Beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and elegantly penned from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Emmanuel. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
