Those Who Think They Know It All Poem by Francis Duggan

Those Who Think They Know It All

Their over inflated egos have stripped them of the power to discern
The know alls are those who have nothing to learn
Though not one in the World who knows everything would you not agree?
At least anyway that's how it seems to me
My wonder of things only does seem to grow
Yet of Nature and of life so little I do know
Yet from living we learn something new every day
We never stop learning as some like to say
Those open to learning more knowledge acquire
Such people I for one can only admire
Those who think they know it all to knowledge do have a closed mind
Like 'tis said to make up the Human World it does take every kind
I regret now the opportunities I missed out on of acquiring knowledge in school
Where I often did sit on the dunces stool.
