THOUGHT AND LIGHT

Thought and light can travel anywhere
Through space and time at will do tear
Both unencumbered by gravity or mass

    Excellent poem, but i would be remiss not to point out that mass does in fact encumber light by forcing it to bend around the object. In most objects, the bending is negligible (i.e. who cares if it bends around your pencil) , but in stars and planets and other subermassive objects, the bending is pronounced. Thank goodness for IB Physics... and the dreadful IB HL Physics aproaching on yonder horizon... OH! And gravity, is a function of mass so it too affects lights. AND a rat's brain is smaller than a humans, and humans have far superior higher cognitive functions, so mass may be related to thought too (and if mass is anywhere in the equation, gravity is also) . That's my mini-rant, thanks! =) (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
