Three Doors Of Life Poem by Joseph Lee

Three Doors Of Life

Rating: 5.0

I stand in front of door number one
As brightness seeps through the cracks
I let the light take hold of me
Just for a look inside
Angels dancing, the gates are golden
A powerful melody is heard
This must be the home of God
I am sure that this is it
For where else would the Mighty rest
When a place exists like this?

Hold on! My time is up
And Heaven is taken away from me.

Door number two stands before me
It stands for everything I fear
The darkness envelopes me
Let me leave! This is evil!
No nightmare can compare
Men drag corpses full of sin
While others cry for repentance
The Devil calls for my soul
For this is certainly Hell

Finally! Get me out!
For I can not stand the horror of Hell.

Door number three remains unopened
With no indication of light or dark
With hesitance, I open the door
I look inside, only to find myself
The me I see, lives his life of recklessness
Throwing morals out the wind
I can see myself growing
With countless acts full of sin

Is this my Heaven?
Given a chance to rid myself of these crimes?
Or is this showing my unforgivable sins?
Meaning that this is my eternal Hell?
