Three Letters Poem by Henrik Berg

Three Letters

I wrote you three letters by nightfall,
I wrote - with no pen in hand,
I wrote them where no one would see them,
On the shoreline, in darkness, in sand.

'You who I want to keep close.
With me, but still at arms length.
To you I will give what you lack,
-The eyes to see all your strength.'

'And you who visits my dreams,
Hot memories of stone cold kiss.
To you, sweet words, in a goodbye,
Sweet words that I know you miss.'

'But to you who brings me laughter,
Makes me see in a brand new light.
To you I got nothing of value,
Accept days of joy and delight.'

But by now the waves' left almost nothing,
Of those three seperate 'letters to be'.
On the shoreline I stand in the morning,
As the sun rises up from the sea.
