Through Down And Under Poem by Nenia Arnaiz Dulom

Through Down And Under

You put me under your watchful eyes
Under the magnifying glass you scan my flesh and bones
You view me on your television
And classify my personality as the villain.

You eagerly watch my comings and goings
Even the watering of plants in the mornings
You know where I roam around to sojourn
Or where I sing and dance under the sun and moon.

The drama and tragedy of life
You consider as comical to muse than to understand
The mediocrity you think is but made up than real one
Too impossible to trust and to consent.

It is amazing how my laugh sounds
In your invisible audio you put inside my trunk
The echo resonate with familiar words of repugnance
But I could not distinguish where you get them from.

I am liken myself to that of a Phantom
Who do his pantomime behind a wide curtain
Assuming that you would watch and will delight in time
In my theatrical and melodramatic unyielding character.

Come on and watch me now
Do not delay your judgment
The time is running out
You might not get what you want.

You presumed and conclude
That all is but the truth
But what you eat is half-baked
Served by sophomoric and naïve.

But go on and endure
Whatever is the present
On the verge of the past
Hang in there on the edge
And resist all calamities.

Weather all paradoxes
Inconsistencies and resistance
To salvage the future of what is there to regain
Life is but a pilgrimage and not a destination.

Reality is here to last than a fleeting tune
Like a whistling of the passing wind
That tickles your skin but not seen
To even outlast the mortal
Who lives in a realm.

Yes this is but an encouragement to persist
Whatever is there to resist
To withstand all the slaps and punches
That hurt my spirit.

To swallow the spits
Of those who think they are sane and great
Who showcase their skills and talent
To manipulate people and persuade them to believe
Or those who usurp the authority and power
That aren't theirs to profit.

Yes this is a consolation to give myself
A brainwashing someone said
For me it is nothing but a gift of faith
A refuge when everything else fail
To save and protect.

It is good to know that there is one left
Someone who really knows us best
Bigger than any enormous and monstrous concern
To defy and defeat the undefeatable circumstance.
