Thunderstorm Poem by Hawa Joosub

Thunderstorm

Heavy Stillness,
Red cloaked Sun,
Wavering Light,
Blink once, blink twice,
Rub the Dust from your Eyes,
See the Darkening Skies,
Turbulent Winds of Change,
Blowing,
Sweeping,
Howling through the Trees,
Waving Branches,
Bowing and Bending
Glorifying and Prostrating,
Whipping Long Grass,
In Frenzied Dancing,
Supplicating,
Entrancing,
Ominous Drum Roll,
Thunder Announcing,
Blinding Cracks on Blackened Sky,
Hearts Breaking,
Illusions Shattering,
Cold drops of Rain,
Run down your Window Pane,
Hot Tears,
Soul-Cleansing,
Purifying,
Dust Settling,
Piercing Sun Rays,
Through Whitening Clouds,
Parting to reveal Blue Skies
Rainbow Bright,
Spiritual Light,
Gentle Show of Heavenly Might,
Earthy Fresh Scent,
Old Branches Broken,
Truth Spoken,
The Carnage so wide,
Reveal
The New Green,
You Hide Inside.
