Tibet. Easter Weekend. Poem by Res John Burman

Tibet. Easter Weekend.

Easter Weekend,
My Christian Friends
Remember crucifixion
And Resurrection.
Seeing hope
For the world.
For man.

My Pagan friends
See the Equinox
See the beginning
Of the ending of
Darkness. With
The Full Moon.

The Jews - Purim,
Zoroastrian - No Ruz.
Hindu - Holika-dahana.
Harmony Day - Australia.
Human Rights Day - South Africa.
Amitabha Buddha.

Holi in India.
Hola Mohalla for the Sikhs.
Pengembang in Bali.
Pakistan Day.
Shushan Purim.
Etcetera, etcetera.

I wonder if that means
Cricifixions
Are over.
I wonder what sort
Of weekend
They are having
In Tibet?
Oh when will we
Learn?
When will we
Ever Learn?

WUN-derful. As a Hindu Jew who goes to an all-inclusive Presbyterian church, I can appreciate the need for tolerance, accord, peace, acceptance.
