Time Poem by Romesh De Silva

Time

I find it interesting, I find it amusing
Everything around me, passing
Nothing lasts, but nothing is lost
Earth moving in circular motion past me
Universal galaxy, space time continuum, evolution
I got the poison, the remedy, and the life potion
Time is money, money is time
Me and life equals blind
A time to kill, a time to be someone you want to be
I want to be no one else but me
If I could go back in time,
Change, rearrange, equalise
Create dimensional mazes, life phrases
Tame it, perfect it, dabble in my own world puppetry
Pull the strings,
Friends, family, souls moulded
Have no material things
I would sit arms folded
Me playing time-keeper
My perfection technique would get me in trouble
deeper and deeper
Time! Our ruler, our lord
It brings life, it brings death
We are but a chord in time’s music, one sound, one breath
I must stop day-dreaming these revelations
It’s a waste of time
My life, a series of realistic 30-minute animations.
