Time And Man Poem by Victor Cruickshank

Time And Man

This saying I've heard during my life's span
I've learned and considered it before I plan
I've read the Bible and also the Qur'an
But both of them teach lessons about the life of man
"Time and tide wait for no man"

Man came into this world nothing but a baby
And hopes to be successful, but maybe
Things don't always go according to plan
He ends up wasting his time doing nothing useful
"Time and tide wait for no man"

When a young boy sees a successful man
He adores and would like to be like him
When he sees an unambitious man
He does not want to be like him
Life is what you make of it
Go through life bit by bit

After college when a person is ready for life
The preparation and hard-work will help to strive
And when the hard-work and struggle pays off
And the time spent had been fruitful
Such a person can give advice and say
"Time and tide wait for no man"
