Time Freezes Poem by Tyra Falconwing

Time Freezes

When I see you,
It seems like time freezes,
Just for a split second,
I wonder if you feel it too

Then I look away,
And the world starts up again,
I wonder if you feel the same

I look into your eyes,
My mind goes blank,
I don't remember how to smile,
This has happened so many times

What is this power,
That you have over me,
Is it normal,
I'm asking to be free

I want this to end,
I don't know where to begin,
I just want to send,
You the message

I like you,
More than you think I do,
There is more to me,
Than meets the eye

And when you walk away,
I feel my legs give away,
As you leave me here,
In the dark

You're constantly on my mind,
I picture you all the time,
And I'm hoping,
I'm your girl

But for now,
This is fine with me,
I'm enjoying,
The freezing time

It's because time freezes,
And this game of teases,
I believe…
That there will be a you and me
