Time Left Poem by Kellsey Hartmann

Time Left

Rating: 5.0

Day after day
And week after week
We put everything off
And for pleasure we seek

We think we have years
Though none really say
But, truely, honestly
What if we only had ONE day?

Forget the songs
But remember this
If we only had one day
What would you miss?

With one day left
What would you say?
What would you give? Take?
Now is there a delay?

Would you give a little more
To thosse without?
Would you love a little more
And have less doubts?

Now, go and do
Push your will power
While you've been reading
A day's turned to hours.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I've seen the lives of those I loved taken whe they were far too young or unexpectant. I don't want to have any regrets when I pass.

Having nearly died myself 2 years ago, I can really relate to the sentiment in your poem. I can feel real emotion in your words.
