Time N Tears Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Time N Tears

Rating: 5.0

Time is teething again and again-
'Tis the tick in dire need of the tock-
Replacing tales told 'bout loves
...............Time passages-
And the truth mirrored by my
.....Tears that you mock...

Strange how the minutes accrue isn't it?
Like the raindrops eventually can become
.................Streams...
Splashing wet spasm's 'cross the windowpanes
..............Of my life...
As photograph's of heavens own teardrops
..............Clearly seen- -

Where did all of those hours come from?
Where grief turns them into days and weeks?
An eternal ocean of months of rain filled
...............Teardrops...
With no seashell souvenirs to keep- -

Only lonely whispers of wind seem to follow
Near the bays and inlets of yesterdays cry- -
Putting out any remnant of my 'fire of desire'
Relief coming, in a year from the sky...

No oysters, nor pearls of wisdom found-
Upon the sandy beaches where love once
...............Played...
The tears have since been blown by the wind
And the minutes have slowed down, a bit, this day- -

All the while the moon waxes and wanes-
Holding a terse vigil of the management of the tides
Remembrance to time and heartbroken tears- -
Are rearranged and amongst the sandy shore...
...............They hide...
