Time Of Dying Poem by Michelle Dickson

Time Of Dying

In my time of dying
I was only lying
So wipe those tears
I have nothing to fear

In my time of dying
You were crying
But Mama don't you worry
I am truely sorry

I lay motionless
In a casket
And you are crying
But remember I was only lying

Lying to myself
About not needing help
I was only lying
In my time of dying

I'm looking down from above
And I'm crying
'Cause now you're the one's lying
In this time of dying

Wow, such a powerful poem. This is truly a great write, I love the way you tie in denial over death and pleas of help. Beautifully written.
