Tired Poem by RIC BASTASA

Tired

she undresses herself
and lays naked
on her bed
her body is lighted
by the moon
she faces him
and he swallows
his promise
not to be promiscuous
this time
she is beautiful and
his body has no right
to deny
what is there.
