Tired Poem by anthony ruben lee taylor

Tired

Rating: 5.0

Tired of the people despairing me with their lies
People love you when they try to inspire
But when one cries
They seem to look to the sky
Noticing that when the sun shines
There are no more tears left to cry
Tears truly come with pain
The world used to be so sane
Never thought this world was so untamed
Watching tv and success seems to be so unaimed
As a kid looking up all I wanted was fame
But as a man looking down all I want is a change
For all those who see the news everyday
Seeing death and it's growing at a new kind of rate
Why can't the world be a better place?
Seeing visions of how we live and I just wanna escape
In the world today I feel nobody is safe
Changing the way we think minds come into play
Contemplating our soul, mind, and body's estate
Changing to become perfect now your body is fake
Your soul and heart sickened by your physical state
Trying to fool yourself by saying this your miracle stage
Are you happy with those decisions you've made?
Are you even happy with the visions you face?
The body was called a temple
But today it's not even a place
Nothing more than a stencil
Cause you're just lying in place
But we were all drawn perfect
GOD made no mistakes
But now the mistake is being perfect
So now your body's ERASED

This poem is so perfect and relevant! Especially love these words: Changing the way we think, minds come into play. Why can't the world be a better place is the statement of the century and needs to be worked in all countries to create a better place for everyone to live. An amazing poem, I love it! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
