'Tis Not The Guns We Ought To Fear Poem by Francis Duggan

'Tis Not The Guns We Ought To Fear

They always end up rather badly from their crimes they cannot always run
If the law does not get them then Karma will deal with those who live by the gun
For years they may be very lucky and they may even think that crime does pay
But what goes around always comes around that's how life seems to work anyway
Without their guns they would feel powerless to them Human life does come cheap
But like 'tis said we receive our due Karma what we sow in life we do reap
'Tis said guns are dangerous weapons in the wrong hands they surely can be
But 'tis the one with the gun can be dangerous at least that's how it does seem to me
In dangerous hands a gun can be lethal if the one holding it wishes you ill
Such people ignore Moses Commandments especially the one that states 'thou shalt not kill'
'Tis not about guns we ought to worry but those who hold them we ought to fear
Far too many massacres of late by people with guns we read of and hear
A firearm in the wrong hands can be lethal hundred dying from gunshot every day
For the greed of the greedy Firearm Dealers there's a price in Human blood for to pay.
