To A Maid Inside The Palace Poem by Luo Zhihai

To A Maid Inside The Palace

★ To a Maid Inside the Palace

☆ Poetry by Zhang Hu (785? -849? , Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

Gates and trees in the Palace. Moving moonlight
Seductive eyes only saw the heron nest at night
Obliquely pulled jade hairpin by lights
Culled the red flame to save flying moth’s life
