To All The Little Girls Poem by Brandon Lucero

To All The Little Girls

stay whimsical
stay active
laugh and dance
with reckless abandon

life is so short
so full of hurt
stay innocent
do not grow up
to marry a guy
like me

my spiritual malady
I failed to see

ruin comes to everything I touch
I guess the self-hatred
was just too much

now I may be recovered
but you deserve more
won't let you suffer
one second with this
addiction is something
you never will miss

I'm not defeated
just a little tired
you may stay seated
cause I just self-fired
nothing personal
I simply love you
losers like me
end up turning the screw
