To Be A Dream Poem by Young Heart

To Be A Dream

this world has nothing except for pain
fear and darkness in the rain.
i want to be a dream.
life around me is so mundane
everyday is the same.
i want to be a dream.
hidden behind a mask with nothing left to gain
i can only dream.
a dream never grows old,
never back down.
i want to be a dream,
to soar above and to achieve
to forever be a dream.

You just submitted this poem TODAY! I love to read a freshly written poem just beginning its life in the world. There's no way to know this early how long it will live and how many readers it will affect. But the theme of a DREAM appeals to many readers myself included and you make that dream, that escape from pain very alluring. And your tone is quietly persuasive, you din't demand we listen but invite us to pay attention to you. I think your rhyming is well chosen to convey that tine.
