To Be A Dream Poem by Diem Enjee

To Be A Dream

Rating: 5.0

To be a dream. To be a dream;
to be as simple as it seems.
To be so simple, yet complex.
You're that which makes me so perplexed.

Dreams of passion, dreams of hate,
dreams that keep you when you wake,
dreams that haunt your daily life,
your dreams are sharper than a knife.

Dreams of lust, dreams of love,
dreams of passion from above,
dreams of blessed bliss and pleasure
that keep your heart from being weathered.

A knife that cuts you while you breathe,
a friend that holds you while you seethe,
a star that sets your mind alight,
with love and pain, with peace and strife.

Dreams can tear your heart in two.
Dreams are what can torture you.
Dreams of passion, dreams of hate,
are over now, and it's too late.
