To Be One In Christ

In Christ we learn to serve as one
To live for one another
Yet this in truth can first be done
If but we love our brother

To love each one as well we might
From deep within the soul
Thus one and one can then unite
To be in Christ made whole

To take each other by the hand
To live for one and all
When this in truth we understand
Not one of us will fall

What strength is found within a chain
When link joins onto link
United; it can take the strain
Far greater than we’d think

Though yellow, brown, black or white
Though peasant king or queen
Through Jesus’ Flame, His Guiding Light
We form a great machine

The Lord brings change within the heart
Repairing every flaw
Anointing oil on every part
Makes movement smooth and sure

When self in each has come to die
When lives to Christ we give
We trust in God instead of “I”
And through true faith we’ll live

Allow God’s love to speak to you
Heed not your brother’s sin
Forgive your neighbours all they do
In Christ you’ll always win.
