To Carry You Poem by Courtney Beaudry

To Carry You

What would I have to do
To proclaim my love for you
To make everything, whole again
To write the words to mend

If I could fly
I'd carry you
Life would pass us by
And we'd be the only two
There'd never be harsh words
Never be lured
There'd only be you
And me
Forever it'll always be

I try to fight the voices
But inside I'm ashamed
I try to say I have choices
But I know they've all been drained

Where did we go wrong
The first time
Did I sing the wrong song
Forget the right rhyme
Did I not have enough love
For both of us
Did I let you go too easily
The first time
Oh I know, that I forgot
To say goodbye!

If I could fly
I'd carry you
Life would pss us by
And we'd be the only two
There'd never be harsh words
Never be lured
There'd only be you
And me
Forever it'll always be
