To Die Poem by Robin Parker

To Die

How does an adventure sound?
Cool? Awesome?
What about if it was to die?
Still cool? Wicked?

To die, would be different
Don't you think?
It would mean no breath
No life
Colourless you'll lie

Under the cold earth you'll wait
Wait for something never coming
What is planned?
Would you be an angel?

How does heaven sound?
White angelic wings
Freedom beyond compare
Those who died long ago

Now,
How does not knowing sound?
No clues, no answers

What about total darkness?
Nothing there
Just you
Coldness surrounding you

Waiting to die is an adventure itself
Everyone has a purpose
Gods perfect plan for you
Although not all human life think so
Unconditional love and surreal life

To die, would be an awfully big adventure
Well, ok. Would it?
