To Finally Feel Alive
Statues coming to life
breaking the iron hearts
once chastising love
collapsing solid walls
frozen waters start to warm
entirely through the circulatory system
breathing in warm air
functional lungs
that once only felt cold air
deeply adsorbing every breathe
once locked in a cage
new freedom to pursue
able to finally feel
all senses awakened
to love, to care about life
