To Forget Poem by Carlos Gonzalez M.

To Forget

So easy it was to forget,
To forget the way I forgot
The purest joy
Of my childhood days,
To slide in slides, to swing in swings,
To be the humble center of all things.

So easy it was to forget,
To forget The way I forgot
The cheerful song
I sang immerse in jolly versions of pain,
Of my bruised knees on the ground,
Of keep falling all the time.

So easy it was to forget,
To forget the way I forgot
All that was before,
The jubilant faces of meaningless,
The inmensity of a single spot.
So easy it was to forget,
How it all may go away
Just by soaking in The rain.

But while smiling, so brightly smiling,
It is then so easy to forget,
thank you life, really easy to forget,
That all The pain and suffering,
The anxiety and loneliness,
Will certaintly come back again.
