To Have What I Want Poem by DAVID TERRY

To Have What I Want

I know what I want, and I know what it means
But what I want is really irrelevant, I suppose
To have what I want means life apart at the seams
Cutting off my face to spite my nose

And still I’m moving forward in the direction so new
A year ago I would not, could not see
How forward alone could still keep me far from you
In a place where I do not want to be

Each hour I know I’m one step closer
To the time when I may be able
To be the man you wanted me chosen
And make truth out of these dreamt fables

Still to have what I want means giving up all
And I think now it’s not too steep to pay
For to not have you means denying the fall
And “I love you” never more to say

Hope you will have what you want, at least dont give up on anything unless you tried it till end...The last line seems like a beautiful hope still there and maybe it will show you there's a way to break through! ! ! No way to bleed change a little to win in your own life! Good luck_Unwritten Soul
