Ashley Dowdy (Forbus)
To Let Go?
He says to Let Go
And sometimes I come to but then I run fro
What is fake and what is real
Only in my heart He says you will hear
I do, I do...want to heal
Listen to your heart and you will know what is true
But as you see, that has caused me pain
It was made me blue
My heart
He says to just Let It Go
Three little words
They are like swords
Would I be free
If I could just Let Go?
Instead I feel confined
Who am I...can you define?
Life and its many riddles
Swarming me, straggling me
They confuse me and worry me
What do I want?
Do you believe I like living this way?
I want for my mind to be my own
It is in my body
Why can't I grab a hold?
I am not that bold
These words I assemble
Better yet, these words I bleed
My soul is restless
Indeed
All he says I have to do
Is to just Let GO
Let my better half
And the Lord
Lead me
Maybe then, I will be free
Thinking if I shall
Would I become a better being?
Or become someone I am not suppose to be?
Letting Go worries me
