To Listen Carefully Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

To Listen Carefully

The roots!
His roots,
Her roots,
Your roots,
my roots;
The tongue of love and,
The tongue of peace!
Bringing joy to all mankind.

Life,
To draw water out of the wells of love;
And, in unity with all,
On this earth.
True-love!
With excellent things;
Bringing peace to all.

Love,
To listen carefully;
With great diligence.
Eat, great!
With the muse of peace and joy;
In the land of the living,
Where the rule of the law is accepted.
