To My Dear Father Poem by Desmond Tagoe

All though I have never seen you I know you are there 
All though you have never told me I know me you do love
When I was but I thought you knew of
When I was not known to myself you knew of me
Father from you I have come and from you I now go
even though I know its you who are leading me as I know I am going
I count myself as nothing at your will I go here or there
in the eyes of man I am counted as of strong faith and love
You see my faith and you see my love so the words of man are of no praise to me
