To My Parents Poem by M. Asim Nehal

To My Parents

Rating: 5.0

Holding my hand
Took out, to introduce this world
In rough weather,
Allowed me to excel

Under the umbrella of love
Encouraged me to concur
Taught the lessons of honesty and integrity
Helped me to create my own space and personality

Never used their undue influence on others
To make me fly on their feathers
The pillars that laid the solid foundation
Stood firm to its ground in all seasons

The years are passing by,
Making body fragile
Yet determination is same before
The enthusiasm is still skintight

So are my roots and so are its branches
Life has fully blossomed
Almighty is generous with me
To bless with such nice parents.

Parents have done much for us. They have introduced the world by holding our hands. Under the umbrella of love they have taught the lesson of honesty, encouraged us to do good works. They are the roots and we are the branches. God is generous with us to bless with such nice parents. A great write.
