To Our Satisfaction Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

It was only yesterday
I had thought of it full day
Had given also considerable time
As I was not to miss it second time

What I had thought on past!
It disintegrated from mind very fast
As it had changed completely
I was acting very lately

Yesterday it represented rosy picture
Today it was reverse and unsecured
I had failed to plan and seize with
It had lost initiative and ceased

Time and tide are most important
We must live in present
Nothing should be left behind for tomorrow
As it may not offer again or allow

Past can not be taken as yardstick
Present must be taken care of and struck
The ground work must be solid and firm
Future must only speak and confirm

There is uncertainty in life with move
Both can fail at any time to prove
The time has to be an essential factor
You can not claim as sole victor

Think that you are not a master
The string can be pulled faster
The outcome may not be of expectation
Yet it has to be to our satisfaction
