To The Leaves And Your Smile Poem by Christopher R. Kennedy

To The Leaves And Your Smile

You know that sound you hear
When the lake is as black as ink
And flawless like glass
When a leaf floats down like
An injured paper airplane
Sent from some skeletal tree
It hits the water and the ripples
Form rings around it?
That’s the sound I hear
When you smile.
