To The Stone Cold! Poem by Flencirose Basera

To The Stone Cold!

Stillness!
Silence!
Stifled sobs!
Stone cold, dark and stillness!
A flick of paper!
A flip of paper!
Breaks the silence!
A resonating sound!
A broken voice!
A troubled heart!
A congregation of minds in torture!
Could I?
Would I?
Confusion and guilt!
What could one have done?
Nothing!
The rythymic voice of one narrating the life!
Gracious life nipped unceremoniously!
Alone and helpless on the stone cold!
Did she know we cared?
Did we tell her we loved her?
The thoughts and wishes never to be known!
At peace too soon!
To the stone cold we surrender!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is an emotional tribute to a dear friend who passed away alone and laid there waiting for someone and I guess the Maker needed her! I miss her and cant bear to think what went on in her mind laying on that floor in this cold freezing place waiting for somebody anybody to come and how she resigned when she realised no one but the Angels surrounded her! RIP Auntie Grace Love you always!
