To The Sunflower Goddess
i once wrote a poem
for you sunflower goddess
each word is tainted
with my blood
each line is drawn
within the perimeters
of my aching heart
i look for you sunflower
goddess
i am the moon
you are destined for
the harshness of the noonday sun
tonight you will be mine
but you are dead
sunflower goddess
i will bury you in the embrace of my golden sheen
tonight
my witness shall be a hundred stars
