The way you say I love you
and the way you hold my hand,
tells me so much about you
I completely understand.

It's the way that you look at me
and the beating of your heart,
that tells me all I've known about you
from the very start.

It's the warmness of your kisses
sending shock waves to my feet,
that help me understand
the woman that means so much to me.

All the hard times that we've been through
and those that are yet to come,
haven't and won't stop our love
Like it has done to some.

I want you to know I love you
and that I truly care,
I'm the one who understands you
any time and anywhere.

But there will be some times
that understanding you,
isn't what we'll work on
because I need understanding to.nnnnnnnnnnnn.

Control is not the issue
it's not what you'll get from me,
because I'm not here to clip you wings
I'm here to help set you free.

So trust that when we are living
under the same roof,
that our life together will be a healthy one
our past has been our proof.
