Love's milk and honey
are good deeds and sincere caring words
that issue from the bottom of the heart

I may not sing like Lionel Richie
be as wealthy and generous as King Solomon
speak eloquently as Nnamdi Azikiwe
write proficiently as William Shakeapeare
but all I have I will freely and cheerfully
give to you
hoping that you will be content with my all

I will compose and sing you sonorous ballads
be your knight in shining armour
write and publish your tribute
on every available space
and endow my heart to you
glad to spend and be spent for you

Do accept them, my widow's mites though
cos they are all I have and all that is me
for you are all that matters to me
in this wonderful wide world.
