Does it really matter,
What our status is on the ladder?
Are looks the only important thing,
Not the qualities that make us human beings?
Why do flaws determine your rank,
And your money chooses the people at your flank.
And what about the shows we watch?
Why do cartoons turn you into a laughing stock?
Does anyone see what makes us unique,
Or is it only there, then gone in a blink?
You can’t say “I Love You” to mom and dad,
Without everything you have becoming everything you had.
Your stuck under popularity’s thumb,
That’s how society is numb.
This is life as it is today,
But I hope tomorrow we’ll all have something to say.
